The Three Different Types of Powered Scooters

Unlike previous years, the choice of people when it comes to powered scooters is no longer limited to just diesel or petrol for gas powered. This is because there are now two other options you can have with scooters: the electric or the LPG scooters. The difference among the three lies on how the scooter runs and what energy type it uses. Basically, the gas powered scooter requires diesel or petrol in order to operate. At the same time, the LPG scooter is similar to the gas scooter except that it makes use of LPG. Electric scooter will require charging from a power supply in order to run.

If you choose the gas scooter, you will need to keep having your scooter’s tank filled with gas. Although this is the better option instead of a car, it can be the more expensive choice among the three different kinds of scooters. This is because the price for gas keeps rising uncontrollably. One minute it’s expensive, the next it’s within reason. Because of this, it’s hard to determine just how much money you will spend for gas. In addition, it does not do any good to the environment as it emits smoke.

As mentioned earlier, LPG scooters are a bit similar to gas scooters in the sense that they require their tanks to be filled. However, the LPG or the Liquefied Petroleum Gas is a better alternative which is being pushed by the environmentalists.  Instead of the traditional two stroke cycle, LPG scooters use a four stroke cycle. For this reason, they are able to produce a less harmful emission without compromising its performance.

Lastly, the electric scooter runs on battery which can be recharged when it becomes empty. Currently, electric scooters are more popular as they are the best option for having an environment friendly scooter. Aside from being used by the adults, they can also be used by kids as toys they can ride in around their village. At the same time, these scooters are quieter as compared to the gas powered since they do not have a carburettor.
